What is amazing is that, in spite of the shortcomings of the earlier English translation, the Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma has continued to be used profitably by students and teachers of theology in the English-speaking world. Since then the Lynch-Bastible translation has been published in many subsequent printings, and continues to be a highly esteemed manual of dogmatic theology.
