Honestly, itf this bugger had like more pages on how to paint building I probably wouldn’t buy another fantasy art book for a good decade or so. It’s a technical realidm book. This is actually one of my favorite books to read. Not much else needs to be said, except that if you are an illustrator, you need to read this! When I first saw that movie the backgrounds was what stood out the most to me, really great stuff.

Sadly I can only say I thought it was ok at best unless you are a beginner. With those books surrounding you as you delve into making yourself a better artists, you wont go wrong, just crack them open, read, observe and practice.

It led to another YouTube clip with Garrison Keillor reciting all the counties of Minnesota at breakneck speed.
