The story has a lot of interesting partslike helping sick gypsies and more. As a recently certified nurse, Tishy is not exactly rolling in the dough. Never the Time and the Place. This time, however, I found I had much more sympathy for her and enjoyed the book very much. When they decided to return to England, Betty continued her nursing and when she eventually retired she had reached the position of night superintendent.
It was nice to see Georgina and Julius and the family again, even Uncle Ivo. She knows it’s a bad idea There was little in Betty’s background to suggest that she might eventually become a much-loved novelist.
